The secret of movie posters

Many people today are under the pressure of busy life and work, and they must release pressure in a timely manner, so entertainment is an indispensable part of life. Watching movies is a modern entertainment choice for the majority, but how to attract customers to the theater and watch movies depends on the application of poster design elements. Therefore, this paper studies the related issues of poster visual design, using well-known movie posters as an analysis sample. The research questions include the application of design elements such as the color, text, image and layout principles of the movie poster, whether the film information is correctly conveyed, and the similarities and differences between the posters of each movie are integrated. The Ways In Which You Can Improve: Instructional Films

As the youth within our modern society continue to grow more consumed with their self-image with the passing of every generation, they are also plagued with the heavy load that is finding their place in the world as they mature. This obsession with self-perfection within one’s youth commonly coincides with the stress of navigating the onslaught of decisions and responsibility the will inevitably befall them.  Many educational institutions of today feel the need to intervene in these situations and put lessons in place that promote self-love and individuality, many times in the form of visual media. However, this is not a new tactic that many modern schools are only now discovering if we look back at how the stresses of teens growing up where handle in the past we will see a very similar approach to this problem. This paper will be about the irony of overprotective parents introducing nursery rhymes to children that have dark, rated-r content. These same parents condemn introducing anything violent, or what they deem “inappropriate” to children because it may ruin a child’s mental stability in the future. This paper will highlight the ironies of how nursery rhymes are these inappropriate actions, events, history that are just repurposed to fit their child’s needs. Introducing these “inappropriate actions” undermine the parent’s purpose of protecting their child. The ultimate goal of this paper is to show that it is not what you introduce to your child in terms of entertainment that will ruin your child’s mental health, it is the upbringing and how you raise/teach your child to approach these situations that determines the direction the child will grow up to be in the future. The value of horsemanship

After conducting further research and using a mixture of the ladder and the umbrella technique I have come up with a way of narrowing my genre. While my genre remains to be equine journalism, I will take a closer look at a specific subgenre that comes up quite frequently in equine journalism which is horsemanship. I want to identify and inform what the value of horsemanship is to equestrians and society. Horsemanship is the connection that an individual and horse obtain through communicating under various circumstances. Horsemanship is a valuable part of the horse community because it shows which individuals have the best relationships with their horse or horses and who has the best understanding or tools to communicating with the thousand pound creatures. Saying certain words or phrases to serve one’s own benefit is a concept that people are all too familiar with, whether they are conscious of it or not. Examples include the way one speaks when asking to make up a missed assignment or how a waitress might speak to consumers in order to get a higher tip. It is a major part of the daily societal language and there is nothing innately wrong with it. However, this language can become corrupt when you change its purpose. This type of language turns sour when its intentions are to mislead and trick.

To examine this issue within my paper, I will provide context from the way in which lobbyist use certain language to bribe lawmakers and chairmen, the way in which corporations issue carefully constructed statements to appear profitable and in good economic standing when in reality that is not the case, and the way in which politicians use convoluted, vague language to both fire up a large crowd of people while at the same time not saying anything of significance. Mass-marketed acne advertisements promising flawless skin and using a conventionally beautiful celebrity or model to sell products is a normal visual in this society. In today’s world, the standard of beauty is sold rather than the idea of accepting what are considered “flaws” today. However, some changes are slowly being made as seen by the Dove Love Your Body Campaign. Despite this progression, there are still no acne advertisements emphasizing to love your skin for its flaws and all. This project will analyze how acne advertisements not only isolate but also mislead acne sufferers. In other words, real acne and scars are not shown in commercials because these companies do not want to normalize flawed skin. [...]

Youtube is a platform used by millions of creators around the world who post videos for their viewers based on their niche. From ASMR to clothing hauls to makeup tutorials, Youtube allows their content creator to reach an audience that would be otherwise unattainable, and inspire, educate, and entertain their viewers. However, no one would expect to be manipulated and deceived by these “content creators”. In expensive home tours, viewers are conned into thinking that the pricey homes are luxurious and out-of-reach for anyone who is considered wealthy. Expensive home tour videos over exaggerates the actual value and aesthetic appeal of the homes being toured, which tricks the audience into believing that there’s actual value to the house. [...]

In a time of political correctness and inclusivity, comedy television viewers are looking for shows that not only provide them with entertainment but also problematic free punch lines. Brooklyn Nine-Nine cold opens have been delivering top notch buddy-cop comedy without making characters use the stereotypical or obvious punchline. This is relevant to how as a society we are moving toward a movement of comedy that will use a character’s race, gender, or sexuality to enhance character depth and the range of comedy available instead of using it to keep the less represented groups quiet. The use of cold opens in Brooklyn Nine-Nine allows viewers to be engaged in the first sixty to ninety seconds of each episode, while characters deal with current societal issues without taking away from the enjoy ability of the show. Twitter over time has become a largely political platform where many people spread their views and opinions. With the wide variety of views comes disagreement producing vile arguments that feature what is deemed trolling. In the political sphere of twitter there is no universal agreement on what type of political tweet is considered trolling, yet many times there are those who are labeled trolls, but who is deciding this? It is a degrading thing to be considered a troll that hurts credibility and effects how seriously one is taken. Because of this, it is a serious thing to be considered a troll. When a political argument is raging in a twitter comment section there is always one side that has the majority rule over the argument, depending on if it is a conservative or liberal person’s tweet that is being replied to. Food packaging labels: An in depth look at the influence of labels

Found in grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies, and even our own homes, food packaging labels are seen by billions every day. It is easy not to appreciate the thought that goes into the creation of these food packaging labels since we are so accustomed to coming across them on a daily basis. Food packaging labels have a great influence on the types and brands of food people are purchasing, and thus the food that they eat. Labels are made to draw in consumers. Picking the item up off the shelf is the first step to becoming a successful company. [...]

From an outsider’s perspective, EDM at music festivals is just another concert that people choose to attend. However, from the avid attendee’s perspective, these festivals go beyond just the music, but they are a way for people to meet and interact with one another—it creates a culture and a community. EDM pushes people to become fully immersed in the festival; one cannot just attend it, but they have to actively participate in the festivities. The great thing about this community is it is all-inclusive, so if someone is attending their first music festival and has no prior knowledge of what to expect, someone experienced, at the festival, will help them learn. Filling space against the sake of being empty is the fashionable function of most interior decoration. The quality, coloring, and placement of these furnishings correlate to an implied social stratum– of personalities, lifestyles, and social statuses– attributed decorative luxuries. Some decor compensates simplicity with words; sentimental equity of inspiration or kind coercion to feel and believe something not universally accepted; a controversial statement.  Although the relevance, purpose, and effect vary from the placement within a house of signs– ranging from the ‘Welcome Home’ doormat, to the ‘Beware of Dog’ window sign, and the ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ bathroom plaque–there remains an exploitation of audience in the vanity of employing this method of representation as an accurate reflection of the owner. A Close Examination of the Innerworkings of Inspirational Quotes

On Instagram, an Inspirational Quote is a sentence that is written on a background/image and posted on an inspirational quote page which is meant to produce a specific effect on readers. An inspirational quote is classified as a quote that motivates and encourages its readers. While a regular quote can serve many purposes, an Inspirational quote’s purpose is to uplift and encourage. An example of an Inspirational quote is “If cauliflower can somehow become pizza… you, my friend, can do anything.” In today’s world, social media has a huge impact on those who come in contact with it. The question is- how much impact do inspirational quotes truly have on readers? [...]

A normal attaché of funeral proceedings and rites for the deceased, eulogies are a performative genre; their success indicative by the reactions gained from the audience observing such a spectacle. It would be preferable to follow a scheme that satisfies the prospectors engaging with the medium, seeking satisfaction through this form that is supposed to provide a sense of release for those who relay the personal insights to their relationship with the deceased. But there is a line to be crossed when considering the audience and their degree of vulnerability, emotional fatigue, liberation of free thought and authentic knowledge regarding the deceased that promotes a certain form of eulogy as “desirable” or “necessary”.
