When talking about the designer clothes of our time, anyone writing on it, or supporting is pretty straight forward and to the point. Due to the fact that anyone who is associating with them is likely already aware of what they’re getting themselves. They include the prices and descriptions of majority of heir items, if not, showing and describing the make up of some of these products. When speaking to their audience, they tend to speak or appeal to Logos and Ethos. I do not say Pathos for a reason, due to the fact that when speaking or selling these items its a pretty straight forward exchange, no emotion.

Opposed to many other genres, this one doesn’t require as much word play. The layout of the this Genre requires more pictures then words in a lot of cases. A simple catalog, or online shopping format is used majority of the time also.  This allows them to let the images do the talking and limit the word count, as you would probably only see a price, description, instructions, or suggestions. Overall, keeping world play simple. However, when it comes to diction throughout this genre, they tend to use terminologies and specific words to describe items that were already familiar with. For example, terms such as Monk straps and belt bags are used to describe a simple item we would call a pouch, shoes, or just bag! This choice of wording tends to give off a more sophisticated tone, or a business tone.

These patterns that are used by these high end clothing companies, i believe are to make the customer feel loved or at home, despite the prices. Whether one has enough money or attention to deal with these items, the customer will ALWAYS be satisfied, either because they are very happy with a purchase, or excited to work towards getting that item.

It is important to know that believe it or not, a lot of work goes into this. The question or thoughts of a five dollar shirt and a $400 having any relation or comparison should be thrown out of the window. YES it is better quality, YES it will last longer, YES it requires a lot more work then the usual brand. Along with a social boost, the price is worth the investment in the long run. Overall, many aspects of these companies are overlooked simply because of a price tag!
