SPAGHETTI WESTERN

I love this sub genre because, not a lot of people really like this sub genre. I had an unappreciated sense of what happened in western times, and usual has a very interesting story. The rural, survivalist, nature of a cowboy that chases down a villain somehow, is fascinating to me. The irony that follows in most spaghetti western shows gives a really good story. In most spaghetti westerns the protagonist tries and become friends with the villain of the town, before he saves the entire town.

Some examples could be seen as the dollars trilogy, which was a series of three movies that starred Clint Eastwood.

Context

Setting: The medium that the context would appear would be in the form of a movie, which would be the most common. It directly stems from the Western Genre.

Subject: When people use this genre, they are communicating about a fiction story that happened in a town somewhere. Leaving the story to be a large range of possibilities.

Writers: There can be multiple writers of different spaghetti westerns. The perform the reader an experience that is almost like a modern day hero movie, set in western times. They usually write in teams, with their producers to create their movies, as a profession, and I’m sure they gain a sense of joy from it.

Readers/ Watchers: The people that like these types of films could be people that like western movies, or history buffs. A reader/ watcher would watch this from leisure and nothing more.

Exigency: The purpose of this sub-genre is for pure entertainment.

  1. I’m a movie fan but don’t have much experience with Westerns. So I did a bit of research and apparently, spaghetti westerns are different from just westerns. Is there any difference between the two? What do spaghetti westerns have that’s unique? Like I’ve been reading that they were mostly directed and produced by Italians, which I suppose gives them their name! How does the international nature of this film mesh with the fact that it’s based on American history? Are there any narrative differences between these and American films? Maybe about how the cowboy is portrayed? Overall, I think it’s definitely underappreciated and I’d read a full paper on this. So super nice choice.

  2. Western movies are definitely under appreciated. I personally like horror movies more, though Western movies possess similar action and suspenseful scenes. I wonder if there are any olitocal purposes being Western movies in the modern-day film industry.
