The 3 cultural artifacts I choose are pregnant onion, fudge and goodies for Christmas and stockings. Pregnant is a plant that one can grow if someone had taught them. It would be beneficial to learn about its utility and why consuming it would be good. Fudge and goodies, Christmas stockings are traditions that are used in several places when celebrating Christmas.
According to Smithsonian, The most popular legend about why stockings are hung at Christmas goes something like this: A recently widowed man and father of three girls was having a tough time making ends meet. Even though his daughters were beautiful, he worried that their impoverished status would make it impossible for their girl to marry.

Alright, you did it. You made me research a pregnant plant. Not gonna lie, I’ve never heard of it before. Apparently it’s considered a noxious weed in places like Florida, or in its native Madagascar, and if it escapes from captivity, will proliferate by dropping the little plants all over the place. The alanchoe daigremontiana is also known as the Maternity plant, or Mother of Thousands (or millions) and is one of the few plants that actually produce its young on the plant itself. When the pollups get mature enough, they start to develop their own roots and will eventually fall off and become its own plant.
I think this is a particularly fascinating plant but I’m not too sure how this correlates to parenting styles, unless you count the mother that lives in a shoe ;P I’m interested to see how your paper turns out!
